EdiTrace is the solution to the reconforming demands of film and video postproduction. EdiTrace eliminates the necessity of manual reconforming, which is both time consuming and costly, by providing audio editors with a concise change list that details the exact changes between picture cuts in an edit decision list (EDL) format.
The generated EDL can then be loaded into 'EdiTrace Auto' to conform Pro Tools sessions and the timecode values of any database. Third-party auto-conform products can also be used to conform audio sessions on other platforms, (see list below).
The EdiTrace program is resident on the www.editrace.com web server and can be accessed using any recent Mac or PC web browser. Once online the process is straightforward and the results can be downloaded immediately. The cost is based on a set fee per trace or by monthly access for unlimited tracing. See the Pricing page for more details.
After downloading the EdiTrace CHANGE EDL to your workstation, one of the following auto-conform packages is required to reconform the audio session or database:
Changes can be implemented manually to any workstation using an EdiTrace Offset List.
