EdiTrace Auto (ETA) has been designed specifically to automate the conforming process of film and video sound tracks on Pro Tools systems as well as update the timecode values of any database file.

ETA can perform three tasks: Conform, Cut Tracks and Update Data:

• Conform Audio reconforms audio edits and automation in a Pro Tools session to match an updated picture version or conforms source recordings to match a new picture cut.

• Cut Tracks is used to make cuts in a guide track at every picture edit point. This feature allows editors to readily locate the start and end points of shots; a useful tool while cutting atmosphere tracks, for example.

• Update Data updates the timecode values of a database to match a new picture cut.

One EDL created on the EdiTrace website can therefore be used by several editors to conform their sound tracks or databases exactly as required with their own copy of ETA Free.
